NOGGOA History

1971 an idea was born by John Holaus & Carmen Williamson

Named "NOGGOA" by Harry Davis of Minnesota from an Indian word meaning "Judge"

The mission of NOGGOA is to "Educate and improve the Skills of Golden Gloves Officials"

1973 NOGGOA became an Non-Profit 501 (C) 3 organization

1975 initiated the Awards for Excellence

1980 initiated Scholarship Awards and Fundraisers*

1985 initiated the NOGGOA Hall of Fame Award

Recognition of successful accomplishments of Officials during Golden Gloves competitions
